Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in a management role in the construction industry.
To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete all Mandatory units, plus four Optional units.
Mandatory Units:
Maintaining construction health, safety and welfare systems in the workplace
Managing the performance of teams and individuals in the workplace
Leading meetings and taking decisions in the workplace
Developing and maintaining working relationships in the workplace
Managing your personal development in the workplace
The qualification is primarily assessed in the workplace, allowing candidates to demonstrate their abilities through practical tasks and evidence collection, such as:
Supporting documents such as RAMS and inductions
Observations by assessors
Witness testimonies
Portfolio of work evidence
Professional discussions
There are no formal exams; assessment is continuous and based on meeting the required standards for each unit.
You will be able to apply for a physical Black CSCS Skilled Worker Card upon earning a construction management/technical NVQ Level 5, 6 or 7, provided by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
The Black CSCS card indicates the highest level of expertise.
It can be obtained after completing the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment test
